Hey there! Welcome to The Storyteller’s Lens.
I’m a writer. Which probably explains why I find it difficult to simply watch a film, read a story or revisit a character and leave it there.
Something stays. A scene. A choice. A character. Sometimes a performance. Sometimes a story I’ve known all my life suddenly makes me wonder… but what if we looked at it this way?
That’s what this space is about.
I’m not here to review films or rate performances. Nor am I trying to retell stories that have already been told. These are simply my reflections on the stories, characters and creative choices that stay with me long after the page is turned or the credits roll.
Some come from movies, some from webseries and yes…some from mythology. And there are some from the writer in me trying to understand why a particular piece of storytelling worked or why it refused to leave me alone.
There will probably be disagreements. That’s fine. Stories would be terribly boring if all of us saw the same thing in them.
